how to improve brain function

When my clients come to me and they ask me " Hey, How can I improve My Brain Function?", I know that this is a big conversation, with a lot of different variables and factors to consider.

But after 10+ plus years of working with clients and also experiencing my own "Brain Crash" and healing journey from that, I can safely say that there is a logical, step-by-step process that we all can utilize to get the same amazing results.

And I call this process the "Memory And Focus Formula" even though these same steps can help to resolve all of the same triggers for Multiple Sclerosis, Autism, Dementia, and Alzheimer's disease, as well just helping to reduce the symptoms of fatigue, brain fog, and cloudy thinking.

This step-by-step process utilizes the same strategy that I used for myself and hundreds of other clients who were also dealing with chronic fatigue, difficulty concentrating and wanted a brain boost that could help them to perform better at their work, relationships, and to just generally thrive, rather than feel stuck and unable to move forward in their lives.

Step 1

Reducing stress is more about learning to relax. It can literally rewire your entire brainstem and nervous system for improving the parasympathetic branch of the nervous system, which helps to repair damaged cells, store memories into your hippocampus, and improve your digestion and detoxification and elimination pathways.

STEP 2

You are going to need to use brain boosting foods, as well as a Gut health Diet, so you can eradicate SIBO, Candida, and stealth pathogens that can live in your gut, causing gut and brain inflammation, which can lead to drowsiness, difficulty focusing, and poor memory. Repairing the intestinal lining helps to reverse "Leaky Gut Syndrome" which is a leading cause of Alzheimer's and Dementia.

MODULE 2 - Diet & Digestion

STEP 3

Now that your gut is some what repaired and your microbiome is more balanced, we can now begin the process of optimizing your cellular metabolism and Liver and Gallbladder functions of manufacturing Glutathione, Metallothionein, Ferritin, Transferrin, Ceruloplasmin and other heavy metal and chemical binding proteins that will go into your brain and pull out these toxins and heavy metals, and thereby bringing down inflammation and astrocyte degradation that can lead to "Leaky Brain Syndrome", which will cause brain fog and chronic inflammation.

Brain Foods That Can Boost Brain Performance

Brain foods that give your brain a boost come in all shapes, colors and sizes. The best brain boosting foods are those that contain the brain nutrients that your cells need to have enough energy in the form of ATP, such as B vitamins and minerals like Magnesium, Selenium and Zinc, and also foods that give your brain the amino acids such as tyrosine, taurine, cysteine, methionine, glutamine, tryptophan, and phenylalanine, which are all necessary for the production of neurotransmitters.

Antioxidants, polyphenols, and flavonoids all help to boost antioxidant activity, so we need a variety of foods to give optimal brain performance through nutrition.

When You're Stressed, Your Brain Can't Digest

When our minds and nervous system get overwhelmed with too many tasks, or too much emotional turbulence in our relationships, our minds and nervous system can get hijacked by our "Fight-Or-Flight" Stress response.

This feeling of being stressed or over-emotional can really disrupt one of the main neural pathways that helps to keep our Gut healthy, and that is our Vagus Nerve.

This 10th Cranial nerve is literally the superhighway that regulates our digestion, internal organs, heart, pancreas, stomach, liver, gall bladder, small intestines, colon, bladder, kidneys, and even our reproductive organs like the ovaries, uterus, prostate and male reproductive organs are all under the influence of the Vagus nerve.

When we are under too much stress, worry or just working too hard for too long, our Vagus nerve stops working properly, and then we can have trouble sleeping, difficulty focusing, and other signs of ADD, ADHD, Anxiety, and memory loss can all be attributable to a poor functioning Vagus nerve.

The simple act of engaging and activating your Vagus Nerve can have amazing effects at improving your focus, memory, while also helping you to process old emotional traumas and past experiences that could be holding you back and preventing your true potential to be fully realized.

Ancient practices like Taichi, Qi gong, Deep breathing, and just going for a walk can really help your Vagus nerve to start working properly, and this can quadruple how well your brain functions overall.

Also, be careful of the thoughts that you think, since our minds are All TOO-Powerful and can sabotage our peace of mind, robbing our brain and digestive organs of vital energy and nutrients.

Practice the pause

Practice The Pause

If you are going through your day and you feel yourself getting frustrated or agitated, or upset in any way, please....for the sake of the improvement in your brain health and how well your brain functions, please take a few seconds and just repeat a short mantra:

" I am Strong, Peace is my name "

And as you repeat this to yourself inside your mind, you are taking deeper breaths, by expanding your lungs and feeling your ribs expand and your chest expands with your inhale, breaking open any tension you are holding in your ribs and diaphragm area.

This instantly helps to Re-ENGAGE your Vagus nerve, and gets your blood oxygenated while keeping your nervous system engaged in the Parasympathetic branch, so that Stress signals in your brain do not completely sabotage your nervous system, and therefore block your digestive organs from working properly, and wiring your brain and nervous system to be more restless and agitated as a "rule", not the exception.
