THE BRAIN & BODY RECOVERY SYSTEM™
A personalized 10-month recovery program for people struggling with brain fog, fatigue, poor focus, sleep problems, digestive issues, and hormone imbalances despite trying supplements, diets, detoxes, and other health approaches.
I am a second-generation acupuncturist, functional medicine practitioner, Qigong instructor, and the creator of the Brain & Body Recovery System.
For more than 17 years, I have helped people understand the underlying patterns affecting their brain and body. I created this system after watching too many exhausted people, including myself, try harder and feel worse because they were healing in the wrong order.
Maybe you wake up tired even after sleeping all night. Your mind can feel clear for a couple hours, and then the heavy pressure, brain fog, or debilitating fatigue begins to creep in again.
Maybe you have already changed your diet, taken various supplements, or tried balancing on your hormones, heal your gut, get more exercise, and start some type of heavy metal, mold or parasite cleanse.
Some things may help a little. While other styles of treatment make you feel overstimulated, inflamed, anxious, constipated, depleted, or even more exhausted than before.
A lot of health programs begin by asking one question:
“What is the diagnosis?”
The Brain & Body Recovery System asks a different question:
"What is your body ready for, and what needs to be corrected first?
If your nervous system is still locked in survival mode, your digestion and sleep may not recover properly.
If your digestive system is too weak to absorb what you need, your body may not have the raw materials to rebuild.
If your liver, kidneys, lymph, gallbladder, and colon are not moving waste out efficiently, an aggressive detox may create a backup that makes you feel worse.
This does not mean that supplements, hormone support, gut work, exercise, or detoxification are wrong. It means that the right treatment at the wrong time can still backfire and make you feel worse.
Nature rarely builds everything at once.
A house starts with a foundation. A tree grows roots before branches. The body is no different.
Trying to detox before restoring the body’s capacity is like putting a roof on a house before pouring the foundation. Trying to force more energy out of an exhausted system may create a temporary lift, but it does not rebuild what has been depleted.
Healing has an order.
Each stage prepares the body for what comes next.
When you respect that order, the body is better able to use the nutrients, therapies, movement, and detoxification support that may have overwhelmed it before.
When the body is deeply exhausted, the correct answer is not always to make it work harder.
The first job is to reduce the strain, stabilize the nervous system, support sleep, rebuild the body’s reserves, and give the digestive and hormonal systems enough support to begin functioning normally again.
Then the body is in a better position to repair the gut, clear unwanted substances, restore circulation, and gradually become active again.
The Brain & Body Recovery System organizes recovery into five stages.
Some stages overlap, and every person moves through them differently.
The purpose is to stop treating every symptom as an isolated problem and instead begin supporting the body in a more intelligent order.
We reduce the strain on the system and help the body move out of constant survival mode without overstimulating what is already depleted.
